Three Queens

Three Queens holds the following entries over the next few weeks.

Thursday 06th December Clonmel 3.25 Maiden Hurdle.

Sunday 09th December Cork 12.40 Maiden Hurdle.

She has been entered twice because in case she gets balloted out Thursday. This will be her first run in over a year so she will need this, the aim is to get her back safe and sound. After this run which will be her third under rules she will get a handicap mark and with this we will be able to plan races in the future. Any questions please get in touch and always looking for new members (A good Christmas present for someone!!)

Three Queens

I spoke to “Three Queens” trainer, Eric McNamara this morning. He’s very happy with the progress she has made over the last three weeks since returning to training. She has done everything he has asked of her and no ill effects. It has been pointed out to me her half-brother “Gone Platinum”  out of the same mare Miss Platnium was beaten only a nose on Saturday in a handicap chase in Ffos Las.

Good to see members subs coming in over the last few weeks but more needed as you all know it’s not cheap to keep a horse in training and we are also in the process of completing our paper work with the HRI. Still open to new members and available anytime for a chat.  You can contact me through any of our channels or text me on 086-8200477 and I will give you a call back.

Three Queens

Exciting news, at this moment in time we have started the process of leasing a mare called Three Queens who is owned by a member of the racing club. Below you can find the history of the mare who has ran twice under rules and if you go into the ATR website you can view her runs. The plan is to get her back into training with Eric McNamara for an initial 3 months to see can she take the rigors of day to day training and if she can the plan is to sign a 12 month lease. Of course things can change but at the moment this is the direction the club is taking. Please can all members get their subs in asap as we need to have funds in place as from previous correspondents year one of the racing club ends on the last day of November 2018 so we need full subs to be paid by then.  Any queries please get in touch.

The mare was bought in 2016 at the Goffs store sale by Noel Meade for €10,000,

Noel Meade entered her in the Goffs Landrover race at the punchestown festival in April 2017 but withdrew her a week before due to sore shins. She had been in training since September 2016 with Noel Meade and had her first run in Fairyhouse in November 2017 where she finished 9th in a maiden hurdle and her second run was in Navan three weeks later where she finished 3rd in a mares maiden hurdle.

She was being targetted at the Christmas festival in Limerick in December 2017 when she cracked her front right cannon bone in training work the week before christmas, She was kept in her stable for 9 weeks and resumed training in mid. March 2018 but she was lame after training in mid April so it was decided to let her off for the summer,

The vet examined her in mid June but felt she wasn’t ready to go back training at that stage, The vet, Donncha Houlihan of Greenmount Equine Hospital, re-examined her on September 15th, 2018 and feels that she is ready to resume pre-training.
